On Sunday 3 November 2024, the first cane burning took place at pivot 28 block D. The event was attended by the Managing Director, Mr Antonin HIROUX, accompanied by the traditional authorities and his staff.
In his speech announcing the burning, Mr Antonin Hiroux emphasised the importance of the campaign for both the local economy and the country as a whole: ‘We are not just producing sugar, we are also generating jobs, prosperity and sustainable development for our region and for Chad.
Mr Antonin HIROUX called on each member of the team to invest fully in the campaign, emphasising that unity and determination will be the keys to success in the face of the challenges ahead.
