Organized on Friday, October 9, 2026, in Rabat by the SEE Association, in partnership with the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services (CCIS-RSK), the 4th edition of the Africa, CSR & Health Forum was held under the theme “Commit, Innovate, and Co-Invest for Sustainable Health.”
On this occasion, the Africa CSR & Health Awards recognized initiatives that contribute to advancing health on the continent, and we are very pleased to have been named winners in the “communities” category—an honor that celebrates the commitment of the Somdia Group Foundations through the Caravane de la Vue, which the Somdia Group Foundations have been supporting since 2013.
Through this initiative, we are reaching out to the most vulnerable populations to provide them with free access to essential eye care.
Because a medical consultation can change much more than just one’s vision:
- reading again,
- recognizing a face,
- regaining independence,
- resuming an activity,
- and quite simply, regaining a better quality of life.
For more than ten years, the Caravane de la Vue has been working in practical ways to make eye care more accessible and to contribute to more inclusive and sustainable health in Africa.
This work is made possible thanks to the commitment of our partners, notably the KRYS GROUP Foundation, whose support allows us to amplify our impact and reach an ever-growing number of beneficiaries.
To illustrate this initiative, we chose an image that best captures what is happening on the ground and the work accomplished throughout the Caravane de la Vue: reaching out to communities, building connections, and making eye care accessible to those who need it most.
A big thank you to the jury and the organizers of the Africa, CSR & Health Forum, to the SEE Association, and to the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services (CCIS-RSK) for highlighting these initiatives that advance health in Africa. We would also like to thank Étienne GIROS, President of the Cian—the French Council of Investors in Africa—for accepting the award on our behalf.
