Following the successful launch of the Congo distillery, which began operations in 2025 and was up and running in just three months, Somdia is continuing its industrial momentum with the upcoming launch of the Côte d’Ivoire distillery at SUCAF Côte d’Ivoire, scheduled for the coming weeks.
This strategic project is fully in line with our approach to promoting sugar cane co-products and developing efficient and sustainable operations within the Group.
In this context, two talented individuals are joining SUCAF Côte d’Ivoire to support this new phase:
Jean Francois Koenig, Distillery Director, with over 35 years of experience in beverages and spirits, who is joining SUCAF Côte d’Ivoire to support the development and innovation of the distillery.
Frédéric Disson, Director of Design, Methods, and Maintenance, an experienced project engineer who recently led the Congo distillery project at Saris Congo, as well as several projects within the subsidiaries Compagnie Sucrière du Tchad (CST) and Sosucam (Société Sucrière du Cameroun).
This dynamic illustrates the trust placed in our employees and the richness of inter-subsidiary mobility, which are real levers for the success of our industrial projects.
